The following is taken right off the back of the book of Eat Right 4 Your Type written by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo with Catherine Whitney...

Your blood type reflects your internal chemistry. It actually determines the way you absorb nutrients. What foods you absorb well and how your body handles stress differ with each blood type. Eat Right 4 Your Type tells you to combine the foods that are right for you:

If your blood type is O:
~ Eat meat (high protein, low carbohydrate)
~ Cut out wheat and most other grains
~ Engage in vigorous aerobic exercise
~ The risk of ulcers and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis increases if you eat incorrectly for your type

If your blood type is A:
~ You should be a vegetarian (high carbohydrate, low fat)
~ Engage in gentle exercise such as yoga or golf
~ Meditate to deal with stress
~ The risk of cancer and heart diseases increase if you eat incorrectly for your type

If your blood type is B:
~ You should have a very varied diet of all blood types, one including meat; yours is the only blood type that does well with diary products
~ Engage in exercise such as moderate swimming or walking
~ The risk of slow-growing viruses that attack the nervous system increases if you eat incorrectly for your type

If your blood type is AB:
~ You have most of the benefits and intolerances of type A and B
~ Engage in calming exercises and relaxation techniques
~ You have the friendliest immune system of all the blood types

Bidding starts today and I just found out that my migration module exam clashes with the complimentary medicine exam... Aiyaya... Made the decision to change that geog module to a development one... Lost one bid point in the process of dropping it. Not sure if I made the right choice in keeping the complimentary module and letting go of the migration module as the information on the development mod is rather limited.

~*~ Wednesday, 25 July 2007 ~*~
Someone from the 8th floor got promoted and treated everyone in the office to
Don's chicken pie. It was thoughtful and so sweet of the person because I personally had no idea who she was and had never met before cause I worked on the 9th floor but was still treated like everyone else in the office. The pie was simply delicious. Although at first glance it's like a small piece but after finishing, it was quite filling and can last you throughout the whole afternoon. The stuffing of the pie was well cooked and the chunky chicken pieces were very tender (guess they used meat from the thighs). The pie has got corn and green pea that pop when you chew on them indicating that they were fresh unlike those rock-hard types that you get from some frozen bags of mixed vegetables.

Got treated by some pilots because they had some promotion thingy too. One of the pilot bought
Chewy Juniors from the nearby Tangong Pagar Plaza. I have never heard of them before that day. They had cream custard inside and outside is topped with a variety of jams. I took the strawberry flavoured. Not really to my liking though. It would have been nicer and more palatable to my taste if it was softer. But overall, as the name suggested, it was chewy. Don't really know how to describe it though because it's not really a custard puff or bread, it's just chewy.

It seems like when I am about to end my job that the "treating of fellow colleagues" got unto action. Haha... the 9th floor had another round of ‘lunch treatment’ from the pilot's deputy manager cause he had an increase in salary. The office organized a mini Pizza Hut party during lunch time. The pizza was personally made by an ex-manager of Pizza Hut (now working somewhere in Tanjong Pagar Complex), no wonder it had much more toppings than one would normally have. The other colleagues were joking about planning a schedule that involves the rotation of 'lunch treatment' and telling me to extend my work. If the schedule were to be set and confirmed, I would come back for the lunch treatment only >.<
~*~ Should really thank the people at my workplace, although it's a short working period, they really taught me some useful stuff especially in using the different functions of the ever-so-powerful Excel software. Will miss that bunch of people... perhaps will send them a 'Thank-you' card next week.
Since my working stint with PSA ended, now I have more time to worry and brood over my modules.

My brother bought the book written by Peter D'Adamo, Eat Right 4 Your Type. I don't really 100% believe and follow in these stuff saying to eat accordingly to your blood type but I guess it's no harm reading and knowing what the naturopathic doctor has to say (haha maybe when I do come across so interesting nuggets of information I will post them up). I think that everyone should take eat in moderation and get the different types of nutrition from all kind of food sources instead of avoiding completely what is written by the doctor. I do acknowledge that the different composition of the blood types meant that a particular blood type group is more susceptible to some kind of illnesses or diseases and stuff like that. But to be so wary about your diet is no fun at all.. You won't be able to enjoy the better side of life...
oh well... I may as well read it carefully and take note of certain things and see how it works out to be... Hope it can only be beneficial and nothing else.. o_o

Enter NTUC Fairprice. Bought breakfast ham. Walk out the supermarket. Exiting the train station… PONG~!!!

The lorry crashed (lang-ga) into the van.

Windscreen shattering. Pieces of glass rain down. The moment of impact made the glass pieces like a splash of water.

The impact also affected the taxi before the van and the taxi’s boot was dented in (very much like the crushing of a can drink). **Eh.. too bad I don't have a camera-enabled phone so no photos).

Re-calling and replaying the moment raises goose-bumps and sends shivers down my spine… Luckily there were no serious injuries (I think so and hope so) as the foreign workers from the back of the lorry, the taxi driver and the driver of the van were able to get off their vehicles to see the damage done.

Hoohoo~~ I am moving to a bigger "house" tomorrow!! Haha... Cuz the MD* (not the DM) saw me squeezed in one corner of the cubicle (sharing with my supervisor)... Hope the bigger space doesn't mean more and extra workload like what my mom suggested.. ~_~

Thursday ~ 28 June 2007

The office building had a fire drill @ 10 am. Should have guessed it because the fire warden took my name down the day before. Walked down the 9 floors of stairs and the very next day my lower calves muscles ached. T.T I am not exercising ahh!!!!

Friday ~ 29 June 2007

Received a sms during the train ride to my workplace. It was from my dad. He was successfully allocated with Downtown East chalet. Which also means that I will be celebrating my b’day in the chalet.. But the timing is not very good because it’s towards the end of the semester break!!! Everyone would be rushing for their essays and project and studying for their tests… T.T

Bought Goodwood Park Hotel’s cake today as employees of the company I am working with have got 20% off their durian pastries and cakes… Bought a slice of coconut, pandan and durain cake for $5.50. I can say that it’s well worth the money although it’s more worth it if I bought the whole cake… Just that I have no idea how to bring the whole 1.3kg cake home…

Saturday ~ 30 June 2007-07-01

Last day of 5% GST!!! Went to Sim Lim Sqaure and Sim Lim tower to get minor components to fix my cousin’s motherboard. @ Sim Lim Square you can really see people everywhere trying to get stuff before the rise in 2% GST the next day. The same applies to Causeway point.

Had dinner @ Banana Leaf Apollo. This is the second time there. The first time was to do a project about Indian cuisine. Had everything that’s spicy and hot. Curry fish head, fish cutlet, masala chicken and mutton. From these 2 visits I realise that you really have to check the bill before paying because on both occasions they charge things wrongly. Like charging us lime juice when we had plain water and the difference in plain rice and saffron rice was also missed out. But overall, it was shiok.. haha… Eating spicy food and sweating it out…
