Last Wednesday accompanied my brother to NUH to pick up his medical report and collected the JS project from the department. Walked past the canteen and it doesn't look like it's half-way done. Mega-Bites have already been moved away and all it was left was the metal structures which held the tent up. I will miss my sandwiches from there.

Received results on Saturday and I don’t know to feel relieve or disappointed. The results aren’t that great but am relieve that the CAP didn’t drop any further. I guess I really have to choose the correct modules next semester and S/U possible modules in order to try to salvage my CAP.

A 10-month old child - not able to walk properly, let alone know, what a gun is, has a gun license in the States. For more information.

What is the world coming to?

Suddenly, I am grateful that I am living in Singapore and that I don't have to worry dying under a gun shot.

Ahh... i am not sure what's the problem anymore...

Another website:http://www.pctechnicians.ca/help/pcguide.html#3 says it's the keyboard/keyboard card problem~~

My brother is not doing anything to salvage the situation [T.T]

Help?

Aiyoyo.. I think I know what's wrong with the living room computer
but have no idea how to fix it...

Came across this website:
http://www.amptron.com/html/bios.beepcodes.html

It says that 3 long beeps is failure with the Base 64K mem, possible cause = bad memory

Quite useful in indicating the problem...

Wished it provided some solutions so at least a computer idiot like me would understand...

I just realised that I have blogged for a year...

I wish to see the world through eyes of Innocence...
2:11 pm

The living room’s computer is still down. Every time it is switched on, it will beep 3 times. The CPU will be running but the monitor doesn’t show anything. The day before it even shut down properly without any glitches… Anyone knows what’s going on? All my photos and music files are there and I can’t access them for 2 weeks already… Right now have to make do with my brother’s computer.

I have to apologize here first. Geraldine’s birthday and JC gathering which I thought I could make it but in the end didn’t. SORRY!!! Wasn’t feeling in tip-top conditions due the erratic weather conditions which Singapore, and the rest of the world, is experiencing. And since I was already uncomfortable with my own body conditions I know I won’t enjoy myself at the events cuz I will be complaining and pulling long faces which would totally destroy the mood at that time.

~o*o~

Mother’s Day dinner with the whole family, including my 大嫂, was on Monday in IMM’s Long Beach Restaurant. My elder brother footed the bill. When Father’s Day comes, it will be me and my brother’s turn to treat. When the time comes, I will have to think of a place that is not too expensive but the food have to be great cuz my brother is still schooling and doesn’t have an income yet. Eh... Wait... I am also still schooling… hee~

~o*o~

Received my GST offset package today. Finally receiving something from the government cuz the last package required the receiver to be aged 21 and above or in NS.

~o*o~

I am still looking for work. Anyone has got lobangs?

Eileen and Yitsun flew off to Taiwan today and will be in the US on Sunday. Took the gruelling one hour 858 trip to terminal 1. Woke up at 9am but in the end didn't make it to the airport at 11am, all because of the 20 mins wait for the bus to arrive. But luckily check-in wasn't that early. Had my lunch at the airport's staff canteen. The variety of stalls were really A LOT.

The first half of the bus trip was -.- because a man sat beside me had a reeking smell of cigarette. Lucky I had the air-conditioning focused on me so at least it won't be as strong. He alighted at Jalan Kayu stop which kinda save me from the suffocation.

On my way back on 858 again, a decent young man clad in office wear sat beside me. He was not that decent, at least from my point of view. In the beginning of the bus trip, he had newspaper in his hands and was reading it but spreaded the paper so wide that I had to squeeze to one side of the seat. And the way he read the paper was... It was like he only read the right side of the paper. After keeping the paper, he decided to nap. The way he slept was like no one on-board the bus. His style of sleeping was slumped all the way to the right, which was to where I was... Really felt like changing seats but all were filled. Luckily for me when he was close to slumping onto me the bus jerked and he sat upright again. Kudos to the driver for all those times. Coincidentally, he also alighted at Jalan Kayu stop.

Anyway, survived the bus ride and met up with Sarah to pass her Winnie's present because I realise I didn't have the time to rush down to Jurong West and then reach back home before 4.30pm.

~~

Had dinner at Rabbit Brand Seafood Restaurant. Yea... the name Rabbit. My dad called the restaurant for directions and here's how he started... "Hello? Is this Rabbit?" - My brother and I just burst out in laughter.

They were having some promotions for seafood and the Nonya-styled Patin fish was extremely delicious. It was literally melt-in-your-mouth kind. The fish was really fresh and doesn't have the soil/mud taste like some freshwater fish have. But the vegetable - brocoli with prawns is extremely expensive and not worth the money. It's like $20 for not even one whole brocoli and a few shelled prawns. The rest of the menu was okay - garlic steamed scallop w/ shell and beef slices with onion and ginger.

I saw their supper menu and it's rather woth the money as the dishes doesn't cost more than $6 each except if you order shark fin and Buddha jumps wall.

~~

Had my eyes checked finally. The short-sightedness was okay didn't change much. But my astigmatism did. The optician was talking about mine being diagional rather than the horizontal or vertical which I didn't quite get it. But she did say it made me dizzy which was true. And since the astigmatism was diagional means I couldn't get the disposable contact lens which I had hoped to try. So in the end, I sticked to wearing spectacles instead of ordering the permanent contact lens. Yeah!! Got a groovy frame today, haha, can't wait till I collect it. But it totally burnt a hole in my pocket because I offered to pay for the whole thing myself~ $200 for everything (after discount)

I am going to be so broke because several birthday invitations have surfaced which meant more spending~ I have to find a job soon...

Yilin tagged me!!!

RULES: Each person who gets tagged needs to write a blog post of their own 6 idiosyncrasies as well as clearly state this rule. After stating your 6 weirdness you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names at the bottom of the entry. Don’t forget to leave a comment on their tag board that says “you’re tagged!” and tell them to read your blog for information as to what it means.

Idiosyncrasy means: a characteristic, habit, mannerism, or the like, that is peculiar to an individual.

Aiyoooo… 6?? Racking my brains now…

1. After returning home from school or anywhere else, I will walk straight to the toilet to wash my feet before going to any part of the house.

2. When I am at home (*trying to) studying, I will always walk to the fridge and open the fridge door every 1 hour or so even when I know there is nothing in the fridge that I want. The opening fridge action happens only during exam periods or when I am really bored.

3. Before I go to bed at night, I have to wash my face with facial wash. If not, I can’t sleep well because the face will feel sticky and oily. The only time I don’t wash is if I had my shower one/ two hour(s) earlier before bedtime.

4. I sleep with my door locked. I wouldn’t want anyone coming into my room in the middle of the night to disturb me. Plus another reason is that I have house tenants next to my room.

5. Let me see, I have four pairs of heels at home but I seldom wear them. -.- Those heels were bought for specific occasions and then after that that are stored away in the cupboards. Maybe I will start wearing them when I find work.

6. Last one~~ eh… My mom says my eyes are very sharp about details… Therefore, if some things are not perfect, I will not wear it or use it. For example, if the shirt I am going to wear has a little stain (from far away you can’t see except if you examine it closely), I will choose another shirt. The one with the ‘stain’ will go into the washer straight away for another round of washing.

Yeah~~ I am done… Worked all my brain juices to think of these 6. But I believe that I have more than that, just that I don’t take much notice to it… =P

List of the 6 chosen ones
Eileen
Sarah
Winnie
Hui Fang
Shuling
Chun Xiang

My right ear is semi-blocked right now... Hearing things are so weird as it is clearer on the left ear than the right.. so uncomfortable.. Hope it is just the 'heatiness' and not due to accumulation of earwax.. eww.. Yeah... Our bodies do generate disgusting stuff sometimes...

That reminds me of something... One of my Japanese Studies tutor went to Austrailia (I think or somewhere else) for a conference and she bought back those Harry Potter Bertie Bott's jelly beans... Complete with those disgusting flavours (I have attached the exact box she got, the picture was taken off the website)... I try the grass flavour and it was still okay but one of my friends took the rotten egg... It was really smelly because I could smell it in her mouth even after rinsing repeatedly...

Going for the movies tomorrow to watch Spiderman 3, hope the right ear can co-operate and get well soon... -.-
